Project coordinator Dr. Hristina Obradović spoke about the research within our project and the potential use of the placenta as a biocarrier in 3D bioprinting technology for the creation of personalized implants after mastectomy. She indicated that: the biggest challenges we encountered at the beginning of work on this project are related to the optimization of the method of obtaining biomaterials from placenta tissue. 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering technology requires a lot of time, reading extensive literature and optimizing various processes, but we have found ways to overcome obstacles and get closer to creating the ideal biomaterial
