Workshop on Regenerative Medicine & 3D Bioprinting
Bridging Placental Tissue Innovation with Translational Research
Join us for a hands-on workshop for master’s and PhD students in life sciences, focusing on 3D bioprinting and regenerative medicine using placental tissue.
- Event dates: 18-19. September 2025.
- Location: Belgrade, Serbia
About the event
This event is organized within the scientific project Determining the Potential of Placental Tissue Derivatives for Use in Post-Mastectomy Breast Reconstruction: Development of a 3D-Printed Bioscaffold (AmnioPrintCare) and is designed to enrich the participants with a theoretical knowledge in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, understanding the latest advancements and applications in the field (such as innovative biomaterials and 3D bioprinting), while also offering hands-on experience with 3d modelling and 3D bioprinting
Lectures
The experts in the field will deliver insightful lectures covering following topics:
Regenerative medicine and stem cells
Placenta tissue derivatives and their use in medicine
Biomaterials and tissue modelling
3d (bio)printing

The Venue, travel and accommodation information
The venue will be at “Czech centre Belgrade”, Svetozara Markovića 79, the 1st floor.
Practical course on 3D bioprinting will be at Institute for medical research, University of Belgrade (12 min walk from the venue).
10-12 min walking distance from the venue:
Hotel Saint Ten
Slavija Lux Hotel
Slavija hotel
Manjež hotel
Hotel Rex Belgrade
Marquise Hotel
Hotel Nobel
How to get to Belgrade
There is public transportation from the airport to the city (available at the link), however we suggest using the shuttle bus from the airport to Slavia Square (the area of the venue) – A1
You can issue the fixed price vouchers for taxi transport to the city centre at the counter in the international arrivals area. The taxi drive from the airport to city centre is approximately 3500 rsd (30eur)
If you are interested in car rental to stay over the weekend and explore Serbia, you can rent a car right at the airport.
Once in Belgrade
The venue of the event and all the hotels in the neighbourhood are 20 min walking distance from the city centre.
The currency in Serbia is Serbian Dinar (RSD). 1euro is approximately 117.5 RSD. We suggest changing some amount at the airport, and then use the exchange offices in the city, as they have a better provision. Serbia is not part of the “Roam like home” and is still in roaming, so we suggest getting the pre-paid SIM card from one of these mobile operators: Yettel
A1
MTS
*This doesn’t apply for countries from West Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegowina, Montenegro North Macedonia, Albania) which can use mobile traffic as at home.
