Dragana holds a Master of science degree in biology and is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, and junior research assistant in the Group for Hematology and Stem Cells of the Institute for Medical Research, University of Belgrade.
As part of her doctoral thesis, she examines the role of the ecto-5′-nucleotidase (CD73) molecule in the regulation of the regenerative and modulatory potential of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. During her master studies, she was awarded a scholarship for gifted students by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Dragana is a member of Serbian genetic society. During the pandemic, she worked in the Covid-19 virus detection center.
Dragana has experience in conducting molecular diagnostic tests: detection and quantification of viruses and bacteria, as well as in genetic analyzes with a focus on SNP mutations, microdeletions and HLA mutations.
