In an interview with the daily newspaper “Novosti”, we explained that our medical innovation should enable safe reconstruction of breast tissue after mastectomy, protect against recurrence of disease or metastases, and provide a solution adapted to the individual needs of each patient. Current alternatives are not ideal, even though they are safe, because “in rare cases they can lead to complications of implant rupture, hematoma, infections, the appearance of blood clots, and they cannot protect against the recurrence of the disease or metastases”, said our project coordinator, Dr. Hristina Obradovic.
